Burns is a highly qualified licensed landscape architect that combines innovative design, technical expertise, and sustainable practices to create stunning outdoor spaces.

Burns is a licensed Landscape Architect in the states of New Jersey and New York. Burns received his undergraduate degree in Landscape Horticulture from the University of Delaware in 1999. Before re-locating to New York, Burns was a successful horticulturist for a private golf club in Baltimore where he was able to utilize his plant care skills and creative ability while gaining interpersonal and business experience. During that time Burns attended graduate school and earned a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from Morgan State University. Burns was the Head Landscape Architect for an award winning firm in Northern New Jersey for over 10 years before starting bbla, burns benson landscape architecture LLC.
